Title: Green Jackfruit

I bought a can of green jackfruit at Trader Joe's, because I had no idea what it was.  Now what do I do with it?

I never even knew jackfruit came in cans. I've also never eaten it either way. I just searched "canned jackfruit" on pinterest and some stuff came up. Including this:

I haven't ever tried it but I think it is supposed to be similar to the texture of pulled pork.

We have a vegan junkfood restaurant here named Bean (http://www.eatatbean.com/menus/) and they use the jackfruit to make things like "chicken salad".  I don't care for it; I rarely like sweet with savory.  But some people love it.

I;ve gotten some at Wegmans and thought it was really gross. But I have never eaten real pulled pork in my life, so what do i know?

Why did you get the can if you didn't like it?  I have never eaten pulled pork, either, so no idea.

I always see it in recipes and find it hard to find (before i knew TJs carried it) so i bought it to have JUST IN CASE but have not used it.
