Team Sky will become Team Ineos

Team Ineos.  That just doesn't roll of the tongue - does it.

I suspect there are a bunch of world tour team owners who are crying in their beers now.  I bet there are a lot of fans who were hoping Sky and Brailsford would die so that the grand tours opened up more.

I've been doing this how long?

Ironic. I had to google Ineos and the search says they're a big chemical company heavily into oil & gas. I guess sponsoring cycling is supposed to offset the environmental issues of oil & gas.

But then you have to think about all the Team cars & buses taking them here & there for training & racing, so they're not really offsetting anyone's carbon footprint by riding bikes everywhere, are they?

Yes, ironic isn't it.

They are also sponsoring a team for the America's Cup. I'm seeing a PR theme here.
