It looks like some pro teams are working on getting a cut of the TV money the race organizers have been hogging. Do you think this will work?

There was no list of the pro teams involved.

It would be cool if the pro-teams could come up with a business model that made them more solvent and stable. I'd love to have a Canadian or North American team to root for.

I hope that the teams and organisers are able to come together to make this work. Its not 1979 any longer. If they want to grow the sport they need to grow up.

The ASO part of the story is news to me. I didn't know the TdF was now outside of the ProTour.
