Title: I have found the perfect crepe recipe
Post by: moroccangirl on July 25, 2018, 11:23:31 AM
Adam is obsessed with crepes. He found a recipe awhile ago but everytime I mixed it it would still be lumpy. I found a martha stewart recipe and I mix it in the blender. So so easy and they come out perfectly. I'm trying to keep track of my calories, so i figured out these are 100 calories each if you use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to make them (recipe will make 12 crepes that way).

Do you have to have a special pan? How do you know when to turn them?  Can you refrigerate and keep the batter?  How long?

I LOVE crepes, especially the savory ones, but you totally can't just thin out the pancake mix.

Nope, I use my regular 10 inch skillet (I just measured it). 1/4 cup of batter is perfect for it. When they're ready to flip the edges will either curl out away from the pan or they get brownish, it literally takes a couple of minutes, if that, after you pour the batter and swirl it in the pan. I just grab the edges with my fingers and flip. You can refrigerate the batter but i'm not sure for how long.

I have never really eaten one in my life  We had a special little wooden tool to spread the batter.
