He placed a flat disk on top of the wooden part, then slammed the steel up and down on it.  Next shot was of a cinnamon stick boiling in water.

The recipe was a churro with strawberries.

I would assume it's a manual churro maker, but your description of the process sounds like he would have to be using it upside down.

If that churro was boiling in water and not fat, I think I’m eating churros every day for the rest of my life.
