I’ll have to hope I can get more banana from Instacart later this week (hoping no strike, order set for April 1)

Also, bf brought over a cast iron skillet, i want to make a dutch baby, how cooked are they? Are they fully cooked or will they be custardy in the center? I cannot tell from recipes online.

dutch babies are soooo good.  The one I make is cooked in the center but not overly so.  Let me look for it. And thanks for reminding me, it's such a comforting breakfast and easy to pull off.

Have you ever had a Yorkshire pudding or a poppover or a gougere? All are similar textures. It's not custardy but it is eggy.

nope.

I will say it is an adjustment to look at recipes and not be able to make them because i won't leave my house to go food shopping and delivery orders have been very limited. I am far from in need for food, but recipes are limited in what i can make.

The chana masala biryani was so good but ridiculously spicy. I used 3 seeded jalenpenos,.

We have a peapod order for the 1st and Aldi instacart for over the weekend. We've been trying to stagger them in hopes of getting what we wanted between the two orders.

I'm becoming a better cook. Limited provisions and having to improvise, and it's tasting good. I'm getting better at salting as well.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I got a massive amount of produce delivered today. Now I need to figure out how to use it all up.

Tonight I made a massive slaw with cabbage, cukes, apples, scalllions, and Jerusalem artichokes. And then we had roasted squash and green beans.

We tried roasting some of the fennel, too, but it wasn’t so great that way. And we still have a ton of it.
