Super easy apps/snacks?
« on: December 06, 2022, 07:54:18 PM »
Trying to figure out super easy/make ahead stuff for adults to snack on during DS's bday party. It's around lunch time, and we'll have pizza for the kids, but I feel like no one eats that...

Was thinking veggie platter, grapes/cheese/salami/crackers, but need a couple other easy low prep finger food for people to snack on. Maybe mini-quiche? Is there anything decent pre-made? Any suggestions are very welcome!

Do you have Wegman's near you? They have LOADS of premade apps you can put out, easy peasy.

No wegman’s. Costco and regular supermarkets

I don't Costco, but I think BJ's is similar? BJ's has lots of frozen, ready to go apps. Pastry puff stuff, empanadas, mini quiches, stuff like that.

Jalapeño poppers. I've seen two types: the ones with bacon, and the ones without. I haven't made either of these specific recipes, but they're all basically the same idea. Cut the jalapeño in half and take out the seeds and membrane, put cream cheese in, and bake.

Love poppers, especially bacon wrapped.  Give me a plate of them and that's a meal for me.

Ok, I confess, I posted this in a moment of panic and completely forgot, so I missed all of your great suggestions. Ended up with mini quiche that weren’t very good and cheese and crackers. I wish I’d see the jalapeño poppers. We have a Serrano chili still producing like crazy and a ton of cream cheese in the fridge. That would have been perfect!
