simmer sauces
« on: February 16, 2017, 08:06:31 AM »
Does anyone have some good ready-made (in a jar) simmer sauces to recommend?  Trader Joe's has some that I like, and I like adding them to veggies for a quick weeknight meal.

You should try my friend's spice packets.  They're really amazing.  It doesn't come in the form of a sauce so you do have to have the tomato paste or coconut milk or whatever base on hand but they're 10 times better than the best jarred sauce.  And you can sub vegetables or different proteins for what each one calls for.

this is an example of simmer sauces; what showed up as a first item on google.  I have actually tried those, but do not remember if I liked them.

Will look into those, Diablita.
