I xc skied about 18 km. It was warm, in the 40s, so I had to climb (slog in the slush) for 6 km up to 9,000 feet to a stretch that is well-shaded. Then I got in some good skating.

I got caught between a phone call and a meeting so had to keep the run shorter than I had wanted. 45 minutes easy at noon. It was a bit cooler, and I was moderately chilled in shorts and a long sleeve. Later did 35 minutes on the spin bike.

Last day of winter, still a foot of snow on the ground most places but it was warm the gravel path was clear. 6.6 miles easy, still on recovery mode.

7K morning run commute into a windchill a few ticks below freezing. 2K evening run back home from the subway station.

Still sunny here and 60°, but the word is that rain will be moving in tomorrow along with cooler temperatures. I have enjoyed running in shorts and tee shirt. 3 miles with strides today.

Might be the last few hours of winter, but today was unusually below average temps in my region with wind and some ice pellets. Dozen Ks done.

We’re setting heat records for Seattle this weekend. Still only very low seventies though. 3 miles today.
