schedule for running 2 out of 3 days
« on: September 24, 2020, 09:14:05 AM »
A or B? Last few months I've been alternating these 3 runs but with off every other day.
Last couple of week I've been swapping in short/EZ runs for off days with no problems so I think I'm ready for this.
Off is actually EZ cycling.

A. Long (10), short/EZ (6), off, Fast/LT (8), short/EZ (6), off (repeat)
or
B. short/EZ(6), Long(10), off, short/EZ(6), fast/LT (8), off (repeat)

Either is probably fine, I like B a little better.
I'll stick to running, thank you.

I agree either is fine, but I like A.

I went with "B" mainly because I ate too many salty peanuts 2 nights ago and couldn't start off with a 10-miler yday due to salt/water bloat.
So far so good.........

I've completed two cycles of "B". No fatigue or injuries despite a significant uptick in weekly mileage.
Average training pace is up and Garmin thinks my V02max clicked up another point to 48. At March "lockdown" it was 43.

First time this year that I don't feel like I'm going too easy or too hard.
