just saw this:

16:58:32 CEST

Riders are dropping back to the team cars for drinks. The Tinkoff-Saxo team is again using a special vest which can carry bottles.

Ivan Basso has just loaded up and is heading back to the peloton.

Had no idea he was still racing.

Feck, I hate it when top riders crash out in the early stages - last years race was so boring after Froome and Contador were knocked out.
I've been doing this how long?

We have our first positive drug test of Le Tour.

Ummmm...does cocaine really "enhance" performance?

If this is enhancement:

"Paolini finished 172nd in a group that was almost 17 minutes behind stage winner Tony Martin."

Love how Martin handled the disappointment, very classy. Cavendish has been a good balance of cocky and gracious. Nibali on the other hand... geesh! Get it under control.

TTT - Movistar just came in. Waiting on Tinkoff. Maybe I should have picked Van Garderen for the GC.

Go Tejay!!

I picked Quitana just to make it fun. So far, he's not been fun to watch. That'll all change in the mountains, right?

As Phil and Paul say there will be a "sorting out" in the next few stages. Tuesday's stage finish will be brutal. :lambie:

Ugh. That's too bad.

I like that he was still riding, as a helper for el pistolero.

He pulled out to start treatment. He had pain on stage 5 (Wednesday) and the docs apparently figured out the cause since then. I suppose it's "lucky".
