Armstrong -- $10 million poorer
« on: February 17, 2015, 08:30:13 AM »
This is really not a surprise. He lost the lawsuit to the insurance company that he had sued to pay off when he won the TdF.

He still has the Landis whistle blower suit pending.

I was going to post this.

Add this to the car accident a couple of weeks ago (which was weird in itself) in Aspen and you get this:

From your link:

Now his competition is more daunting. He could lose more than $100 million in a federal whistle-blower case in which the United States Postal Service contends that Armstrong defrauded it when it was sponsoring Armstrong’s team and demanded in its contract that Armstrong not dope. Armstrong could have settled that case many times, but he has refused because he still thinks he can win it.

I did not realize there was a no doping clause in the contract. I don't see any way he can win that case. I think he'll end up filing bankruptcy.

I don't see how he could avoid bankruptcy.

Despite everything, he is still so arrogant.  I just cannot relate to that type of personality.

His girlfriend told the press it was her idea. She just didn't want to see him in any more bad headlines.

 It could be true.

Yes, it could be true.  The report is weird - she referred to him as her husband and she didn't want their last name dragged through the mud.

No, it was a Reverse Gatsby = he told her to claim she was driving [the opposite of Jay taking the fall for Daisy, when she ran over Myrtle, which ended badly for him], but she claims otherwise [sort of]

Too bad that he doesn't have a Heisman Trophy that he can sell to pay for all of this

Wow. Haters gonna hate. After a while it just seems like kicking someone who's already down for the count.
