Cole Hamels to the Texas Rangers. He was a great pitcher, I saw him pitch several times at cbp(Phillie's ballpark).

Sox didn't do much. Suspect that they have tossed the season, and didn't want to give away prospects.
Like what Toronto did.

i'm surprised the Dodgers didn't make a stronger attempt to get Hamels, he might have made a real difference for them down the stretch.

True. Seems that the Dodgers have become Yankees west, and don't care about the spending and would give up prospects and money to win now.

Txurruka to Orica-Greenedge. It looks like their climbing might improve.

Ted King is retiring. :( Also Gert Steegmans.

Ryder Hesjedal signs for Trek Factory Racing http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/ryder-hesjedal-signs-for-trek-factory-racing/ (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/ryder-hesjedal-signs-for-trek-factory-racing/)
I'm shocked. I thought he'd be with Garmin until he retired.

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/pierre-rolland-signs-for-cannondale-garmin/ (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/pierre-rolland-signs-for-cannondale-garmin/)
"He is a rider who I believe can one day win the Polka Dot jersey and an exciting addition to our 2016 line-up.” Looking ahead to the 2016 roster as a whole, Vaughters added: "We have an exceptionally talented roster of young riders; what we need to continue to build is leadership for these young guys by giving them experienced riders that they can learn from to better harness their own talents - and Rolland brings that in spades."

Uran to Garmin
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/uran-joins-cannondale-garmin-for-2016/ (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/uran-joins-cannondale-garmin-for-2016/)
The Colombian all-rounder is expected to strengthen the team’s goals for the overall classification in the Grand Tours, particularly the Giro d'Italia, after recently losing riders like Dan Martin to Etixx-QuickStep and Ryder Hesjedal to Trek Factory Racing.
What the heck is going on at Garmin?
-
I saw this thread title and thought it was about baseball. :-[ Good reading comprehension on my part.
I will miss Ted King but I am not surprised.
And what is going on with Garmin? Is it money?
-
I don't know but money is my guess, too. I wonder if they are losing a sponsor. It does look like they're trying to replace some experienced riders with other experienced riders to train all the youngsters they have.
I wonder where Julich will land.
ETA: The thread title sort of evolved.

Trek:
Kiel Reijnen is the third North American rider to join the team in recent weeks after Ryder Hesjedal and Peter Stetina both put pen to paper with the WorldTour squad. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/reijnen-joins-trek-factory-racing-for-2016/ (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/reijnen-joins-trek-factory-racing-for-2016/)
Stetina moved from Garmin to BMC a year or maybe two ago. It looks like he's having a tough time.

I don't understand what's going on. Cav is leaving Etixx Quickstep (for MTN-Qhubeka) and Kwiakowski is leaving (for Sky). Why the exodus?
-
Patriots traded for a linebacker (Bostic). Insurannce in case Mayo gets hurt? Last couple of years this has happened.
Didn't trade much to get him.

Danny Pate did not get a renewal with Sky. I guess he's on the market.
-
Kittel to Etixx-QuickStep. Is that why Cav left or did this happen after Cav left?

Any word on Hightower? Maybe a good thing we got him.

Truly not surprising.
I wonder is Riis is cooking up a new team for them to sponsor.
-
Wow. Someone has way too much time on his hands. That's a great chart.
Garmin lost 5 and hired 9.

Good question. Maybe he just wants to retire / semi-retire.

I thought he'd finally retired.

Sooooo...if Horner can get healthy, I think he should string together sponsorships from Ben-Gay, Ensure, Cialis, Geritol, and Depends and find a team that will let him race with them. Surely there are enough products that appeal to older cyclists that he can peddle -- and keep on racing.

Nice interview with Horner. He's still not healthy.
