I have to bring a dish to a potluck, and I decided to make pasta with sauteed onions, garlic, add marinara sauce, and maybe some olives. Then I decided, at the grocery store, that mozarella and basil might be a good idea. I never use mozarella. so now the cheese is in the fridge, but it occurred to me that I do not know how to use it. How do I go about integrating it into the dish? Should I cook it with the sauce, add it, cold, at the end? in cubes/strips? I know, not very well thought out.

Strips, scattered liberally on top. Basil doesn't like/need to be cooked, so add it just before serving. Sounds good. When should I come over, and do you like red or white?

So, put the strips on top, and heat? or leave them cold?

that's a funny site.
you probably shouldn't add that mozzarella; the nutrition grade given for that damned cheese is F!
