Title: vegetarian lentil dal/dahl recipe

Anyone have one?  I did one yesterday, but I used French Puy lentils, and it did not come out very good. Should ahve used red lentils, but I wanted to get rid of some of the French

What kind of lentils do you have? I have many recipes. Dal is usually red or yellow. DD's favorite food is indian dal with red lentils.

I have red, green/gray (regular?), and the French Puy ones.  How about the red one your daughter likes, since I have a lot more of the red.  Thanks!
