Arrojo done at 5:31.  10 minutes apart and probably never saw each other.

May god have mercy on your souls.   :snowball:

Amazing effort, you guys. The rain was so incredibly intense here today. I am in awe of everyone that ran this race.

I’m pissed that Ellen beat me. <kidding>. Ellen rocks.  I posted this on FB:

What a crazy race that was. An hour slower than any marathon I’ve ever run, but I can’t think of a better way to run my final Boston Marathon.  My goal was to give it all I had, finish strong, and smile.

So I embraced the relentless downpour and headwinds with the help of my amazing wife Robin crewing me, the millions of cheering spectators, and volunteers (thank you GFRC).   They told me I’d never run again and I just completed the most badass Boston Marathon ever.

I would get drunk on Bud Light with Dylan Mulvaney.

I can’t believe how awful it was out there.. we saw some scary sights.. runners looking catatonic.. we were a mile 24...

Also, not an easy day to spectate.. walked over 14,000 steps in wet soggy hiking boots and my knee is sore..

My daughter is pleased enough with her race but says the whole experience was the highest or highs and the lowest of lows.. she badly positive split and almost everyone I checked did too.. she negative split her last two races before that.. she feels like the weather psyched her out and she also made the virgin Boston mistake of going out too fast.. although I don’t think that would have mattered today..
Mad props to anyone who persevered today

Good job, personally I might have bailed on that one.  But it's Boston, so what are gonna do?  Time doesn't really matter under conditions like that.  Congrats.

I am THRILLED with my time. That weather was the worst I’ve ever run in. I’ve never trained in this and was totally miserable. I felt good until about 15, and then I just got too cold. The last two miles were a shuffle, but I knew I was going to finish!

That seems how everyone's race was... all the results I looked at had really slow miles for the last two miles..my daughter said she really wanted to quit at the half and pictures friends took of her at mile 16 did not look good... congrats on your awesome race! I tried to get back out when I got your update at 35k as we had gone in to warm up but didn't make it back in time :(

Rochey, I clicked on your pics on the B.A.A. app and your smile at the end was priceless. You are a machine. And only you could look that good after running through what you did, as fast as you did ❤️

I am in awe of everybody who ran today  :heartbeat:

Watching the playback on DVR.  This race really wasn't about who made the decisive mood at the end, it was about who died the least.

LOL thank you....I was crying.  :preen:

It took me nearly as long to find my friend and get to a hot shower as it did to run that thing. It was total chaos at the end and I would never survive being stranded on a mountain in winter.

Out of body experience over the last 2 miles. Dizzy seeing horizontal lines felt like I'd pass out at any moment. Went from 2nd to 4th in age group. :) :( but finished.
